I grew up with cameras! I was raised in a Kodak family in Rochester, New York. I went to the George Eastman Museum as a child and became interested in photography at a young age. At the time there was no "d" in slr. I took photography classes in school and learned to develop my own shots in a darkroom. My first job was working at a wedding studio as a photographer assistant. That meant doing all sorts of fun grunt work like back and second lighting, helping arrange group shots, finding a lost aunt from out of town, and getting brides glasses of water.
I've worked over 200 weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvah's and also family portrait sessions. I look forward to bring those experiences with me on every shoot! In additional to my photography background, I have an extensive background in customer service. I currently work at Nordstrom where customer service expectations are the highest. I believe my 5 plus years there has really benefited my photography services.
I edit with the Adobe Creative Cloud using Lightroom and Photoshop as well as Nik software. I believe a great camera, lens and editing software are needed tools for a photographer, and not a defintion of one! I am currently shooting with a Nikon D610 and bring several lenses and lighting modifiers with me to locations.
I am not a huge fan of traditional studio backgrounds or overly staged shots. I prefer to use a more scenic, natural backdrop. I enjoy shooting children, families, cosplay, fashion, couples and portraits. I also enjoy shooting engagement pictures, weddings, promotional and company events.
